MineCraft: Bedrock Edition
From version 1.2 to up wards Minecraft was named as "Bedrock Edition". Earlier version "Pocket Edition" was subtitled as "MineCraft: Pocket Edition". New version will not have a subtitle. They named the latest update version 1.2 as the "Better together" update. The Better Together Update was released to Pocket Edition, Windows 10 Edition, Gear VR Edition, Apple TV Edition, Fire TV Edition, and a new version of the Xbox One Edition and Nintendo Switch Edition. This update reflects the addition of cross platform compatibility Pocket Edition (Android/iOS only), Windows 10 Edition, Xbox One Edition, Gear VR Edition, and Nintendo Switch Edition.

Survival mode:
Players must collect resources, build structures, battle mobs, manage hunger, and explore the world in an effort to survive and thrive.
In Survival mode, the player is able to receive damage from the environment and from hostile mobs (unless playing on Peaceful). If the player receives enough damage, they will die and return to their spawn point.
If cheats are enabled, a player can switch to Survival mode by using the command /gamemode survival, /gamemode s, or /gamemode 0.
Create mode:
Creative mode strips away the survival aspects of Minecraft and allows players to easily create and destroy structures and mechanisms. It also changes the background music.
Players are given an infinite number of blocks to build with, with no health or hunger bar to hamper their building. Creative mode allows players to destroy all blocks instantly (including normally-indestructible blocks such as bedrock and end portal frames), provided they are not holding a sword.Creative mode gives players the ability to fly.
Hardcore mode:
is a much more difficult variant of the Survival game mode.
The key feature of Hardcore mode is that the player is not given the option to respawn upon death as they would in other game modes. Instead, there are two buttons on the death screen: "Spectate world" and "Delete world". "Spectate world" sets the player to Spectator mode and respawns the player at the world's spawn point. "Delete world", obviously, will delete the world file from .minecraft/saves.
Worlds with Hardcore mode enabled will be locked to Hard difficulty. The world's difficulty cannot be changed through normal means.
Adventure mode:
Adventure mode is a game mode intended for player-created maps, limiting some of the gameplay in Minecraft. In this mode, the player cannot directly destroy any blocks with any tools or place any blocks, in order to avoid spoiling adventure maps or griefing servers. Players are only allowed to craft items, and interact with mobs, item frames, and paintings.
Spectator mode:
is a game mode which allows the player to fly around and observe the world without interacting with it in any way. Spectator mode can be entered by using the command /gamemode spectator, /gamemode sp, /gamemode 3, or dying in hardcore mode or using F3+N while in Creative mode.
Demo mode:
The demo mode is a demo version of Minecraft for users who have not purchased the game yet and would like to try it out first, designed to replace the functionality of the outdated PC Gamer Minecraft demo.
The demo version of Minecraft can be played free-of-charge by registering a Mojang account and logging into the Minecraft launcher.
